Prototype Tours
Plans are in the works for a train ride and prototype tours for The Pacemaker attendees on Friday and Saturday mornings. The following tours are being offered:
A trip on the Saratoga & North Creek Railroad from Saratoga to North Creek and back on Friday morning September 16th.
A tour of the Port of Albany and the Albany Port Railroad on Saturday morning September 17th.
A tour of the Amtrak Maintenance Facility in Rensselaer on Saturday morning September 17th.
A tour of the Railex Facility at the Rotterdam Industrial Park on Saturday morning September 17th.
A tour of the SMS Industrial Park HAS BEEN CANCELLED
Sign-ups will be included on the Convention Registration form.
Saratoga & North Creek Railroad
Take a trip on the Saratoga & North Creek Railroad from Saratoga to North Creek and back.
Friday morning September 16th - train departs from the Saratoga Station at 10 AM and returns at 6 PM.
Drive yourself / car pool to the Saratoga Station - ample parking
$28 per person

Railex Facility at the Rotterdam Industrial Park
Join us for a guided tour of the Railex Facility at the Rotterdam Industrial Park
Saturday morning September 17th - bus departs from the Desmond Hotel at 9:00 AM arriving at the Railex Facility around 9:55 AM and then departs at 1:30 PM for the return ride back to the Desmond Hotel arriving at around 2:10 PM
No shorts or sneakers
$15 per person - limit of 30 people

Amtrak Maintenance Facility Tour
Join us for a guided tour of the Amtrak Facility in Rensselaer.
Saturday morning September 17th - bus departs from the Desmond Hotel at 9:00 AM arriving at the Amtrak Facility in Rensselaer just before 9:30 AM. The tour is for the shop maintenance facility for locomotives, rail cars, and equipment. Estimated time is one hour.
No shorts or sneakers
$15 per person - limit of 30 people

Port of Albany Tour
Join us for a guided tour of the Port of Albany and the Albany Port Railroad
Saturday morning September 17th - 9 AM until 2 PM
Drive yourself / car pool to the Port of Albany - designated parking
